Moodiez Hand Crafted Organic Beauty Supplies
When it comes to my facial skincare, I am ultra finicky. I’m struggling with a recent diagnosis of endometriosis and am receiving hormone replacement therapy to induce menopause. FUN! What it means is that my skin is sensitive, and prone to breakouts. I struggle with eczema, dermatitis, and acne breakouts.
I found these ladies on Instagram @ Moodiez , and they know a thing or two about skin-care. I’m talking, all natural, organic, vegan, handcrafted skin care folks. You can find there Etsy shop here Moodiez Etsy. They were generous enough to send me some samples before I invested in some new treatments. Without further ado, here are the results.
Packaging Material and Appearance
First and foremost the packaging was super sweet. The details are in the cute little notes, and hand tied ribbons. You’re not going to get this thoughtfulness from retail! The Kraft bags with cellophane windows, and the clear pots allow you to see the products beautiful, and colorful ingredients. They added a wooden mixing spoon and applicator for mixing and applying, which I thought was really convenient!
What I received was Pumpkin Pie Lip Scrub, Booty Scrub, Bittersweet Mask, and Floral Facial Steam. All came with detailed instructions on how to apply them.
The Pumpkin Pie Lip Scrub
This scrub was absolutely delicious and I admit to tasting a generous portion! It smelled amazing y’all! The consistency was spot on, and I didn’t have to leave it on long to exfoliate and moisturize. My lips were Romeo kitty approved when I was finished.
Next, I did the Bittersweet Mask. It’s made from Turmeric, Orange Powder, Kelp, Vetiver and Calendula. What I liked about the consistency is that you can make it as thin or as thick as you like. A little goes a long way! The application was smoother than I anticipated, based on appearance. It had a slight citrus, earthy, scent. While my girls thought it resembled something like baby food, I thought it was a beautiful, bright and bold shade of yellow from the turmeric. My only recommendation is to make it thinner as opposed to thick, it left a slight yellow tint to my skin, which later washed off.
I ended my day with the Floral Facial Steam. Y’all, this was everything I needed for self-care. 10 minutes of uninterrupted, aromatherapy bliss was included in this package. The color was fantastic in the package, and honestly, it surprised me when the water actually absorbed all the botanicals. Made with lavender, fennel seed, echinacea, calendula, rose petals, peppermint, rosemary, this steam is not only good for your skin, but for your mind too!
And that’s a wrap folks! If you’re as picky about your skin as I am, I highly recommend these products at Moodiez.
